Dog Eared Pages Used Books presents:
Books for Soldiers

100,000 Paperback Books going to the Middle East!

We started this New Program at our Used Bookstore in Phoenix, Arizona after talking with some of our customers that had served in Iraq and Afghanistan. They were telling us that in their off-duty hours there wasn't much to do other than read or play video games and unfortunately there were never enough books for everyone to read and pass around.

We trade for used books in our store and often times we will receive duplicate titles we don't need on our shelves. We have been donating books since we opened our bookstore in August of 2008 to the VA Hospital with Vets on their way down for treatment and Senior Communities & many other charities around town and we will continue all of these worthy programs.

The Books for Soldiers Program is going to be a massive undertaking and we are asking for every Patriot in America to help.

We are donating all the books

Here's what you can do:

Send an e-mail to all of your friends that we need the address of any person serving in the Middle East (http://tinyurl.com/Soldiers-Books ) and tell them to send the message on to their friends, we need this message to go viral, it will take 3,847 names @ 26 paperbacks per box to reach the 100,000 book goal.

If you use Facebook or Twitter please post the message there also, if we all work together we can really make a difference for our soldiers.

Send the names and addresses to info@Dogearedpagesusedbooks.com or click on the contact us link

Go to the Home Page and make a donation for postage, it costs only 50 cents to get a book into the hands of our brave young men and women serving in the Middle East.

Thank You in advance for your efforts

Private Quarters' Bamboo Sheets - a Blissful Bed!

Ever go to a luxury hotel, slide into the bed and not want to get out of the bed? You can't really explain it, but the sheets, pillows, feather bed, comforters, etc come together to make it a blissful night's sleep.

Well...I know the secret and I've upped the ante a notch. There isn't a hotel - luxury or otherwise that has a bed as comfortable as mine. Most of us don't really know what we're doing when it comes to our bedding. We think we know but then we go and buy sheets that should be soft based on thread count...but they wind up being scratchy. That should never happen and if you begin buying your bedding from Private Quarters - it never will happen again.

A few years ago, I thought I would try to make my bed more like the ones in the resorts. I bought the feather bed to go atop my pillow top mattress. That made it better, but it wasn't quite there. So next I bought the lightweight down comforter. We were getting closer, but sheets and pillows were still off. So I tried every single pillow they have and found the perfect pillow for me.

The sheets are the hardest part. All of Private Quarters' sheets are nice. The 400 thread count is by far the best deal in town. You can't match the price for the quality (trust me, I've tried). Their 300 thread count are fantastic for your children's beds. The 500 is nice for my guest room and the 600 is great - if you like the satin finish.

However, when Linda was at Jenifer's house doing a party last Saturday...I finally broke down and ordered the Bamboo sheets. I slept on them for the first time last night (yes, the order got here that quickly) and my bed is now the most comfortable bed in the country. I absolutely did not want to get out of the bed this morning because it was so comfortable.

I have achieved the most comfortable bed possible and it's all because of my 'Comfort Consultant' (don't laugh - listen to her and you will be bragging just like me), Linda McVey. Check out her website and 'get comfortable with Private Quarters'.
